What do I wear?

We recommend you wear something comfortable, including footwear (does not need to be enclosed the helicopter is ambient temperature.

We also suggest not too much white as this reflects on the windows when you take your photos.

How do I book?

Please give the team at Great Ocean Helicopters a call or send them a message and they will assist you with your booking.

Weather Conditions

If it’s too wet or windy to fly the team from Great Ocean Helicopters will contact you to reschedule.

We usually do this the day before as the weather can be temperamental.

What age do I need to be to fly?

We can cater for all ages from a couple of months old to 100! 

Is there a weight limit?

We have a weight limit of 136kgs per seat.

How do I pay?

We take cash or card payments on the day of your flight.

How long does my voucher last and when can I use it?

Our gift vouchers don’t expire and can be used any day at any location.

We usually put a one year expiry on it just so you don’t put it in the cupboard and forget it!! 

When is the best time to fly?

ANYTIME!!! But we do usually recommend low tide for the longer flights, as you will capture the sandbars in the water and turquoise water.

Also maybe some marine life.

How do I cancel?

We are understanding that life /commitments change but we do ask that you please contact the team ASAP if you need to cancel. 

Is the helicopter wheelchair accessible?

In short yes, we try our best to accommodate everyone but we do ask that you  please let us know when booking to discuss your needs.

A must do . Fantastic flight, 30 minutes over Fraser island and around to see the area. Covers most of Frazer ( it's big ) and Nathan gives great commentary. Cost is very reasonable but lash out you will have great memories and photos. If never been in a helicopter before just do it wonderful experience
